Pears and Sweet Peas

Still life can give a shudder. I have heard so many complain of the dullness of the school still life. An apple (they said) which I think is more exciting than some things. Mostly a still life needs life. Flowers moving slightly in full brilliant colour is a lot easier to get absorbed in than a dead onion skin. And some objects might invite you in because of an amazing delicate pattern that really cant translate into paint. Some subjects are better than others.
